This is a simple, delicious dressing for salads that is very quick and easy to make. My sister has brought this dressing to family gatherings for several years. When we were putting together the menu for Off The Wall, I insisted this be included. Definitely our most requested dressing. No matter how much I made, it seemed I was always running out. This is also a perfect recipe for Imbolc.
You will need:
3/4 C. sugar
1/3 C. white vinegar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/2 C. water
1/2 C. oil (I use olive or coconut oil, but any oil will do.)
1-1/2 Tbsp. poppy seeds
Combine the first four ingredients in a sauce pan and heat until sugar is dissolved.
In your dressing container, combine the last three ingredients.
Add the contents of your sauce pan to the ingredients in your dressing container and shake well. Enjoy on a salad of your choice.
